The IQ Day is one of the highlights of life at Itecor. As the 2025 edition approaches, let’s take a moment to reflect on its spirit, this year’s programme, and what makes it such a unique occasion for all of us.
This year marks the 10th edition of IQ Day – a milestone that reflects not just the longevity of an event, but the evolution of an idea. What began as a day focused on training day has grown into a vibrant, cross-office gathering that captures the full spirit of Itecor: expertise, curiosity, and meaningful connection.
“When we started, the idea was very pragmatic,” recalls Cécile, Head of HR and the driving force behind IQ Day. “We offered different streams, technical and soft skills, and employees could choose their sessions based on what they wanted to learn. But there wasn’t much space for sharing, collaboration or even for fun at the time.”
Over the years, IQ Day has evolved from a multi-stream training day into a variety of formats, including a “marketplace” of workshops, a unified single-track agenda, and even fully immersive digital experiences during the Covid era. Alongside these shifts in structure, the programme itself has been just as diverse: case studies showcasing office success, deep dives into emerging technologies, and sessions focused on human skills and team-building workshops. Past editions have explored everything from artificial intelligence and sustainability to mindful leadership and creative problem-solving, with our own colleagues contributing powerful case studies and lessons learned from their work. What has remained constant is the presence of speakers who act as “eye-openers” – people who expand horizons, open minds, and spark curiosity.
Each year, months of preparation go into building this event that brings together our consultants from Geneva, Lausanne, Vevey, Zurich, Paris, Skopje, Barcelona, and Mexico.
“Knowing that this will be the tenth edition is a little dizzying,” says Cécile with a smile, “but above all, I’m delighted that this moment has endured. It enables us to connect, even though our daily work takes place at our clients’ premises, close to their challenges.”
The IQ Day is much more than just an internal event. It is a special pause we grant ourselves each year to meet, share knowledge, exchange experiences, and inspire one another. It’s a fixture in our calendar that celebrates our culture values and diversity, strengthens our community and nurtures our shared vision.
Beyond the talks, encounters, and shared experiences, IQ Day plays a strategic role in Itecor’s life, strengthening cohesion among geographically dispersed teams, fostering a vibrant corporate culture centred on exchange, openness, and continuous learning, and creating meaning by linking market challenges with Itecor’s values and the personal aspirations of our people.
This year, we will be delving into the world of artificial intelligence, a key driver of today’s digital transformation. The afternoon will feature talks and presentations offering a range of perspectives to better understand its opportunities, its challenges, and its impact on our professions.
“We will have the privilege of welcoming renowned Professor Boi Faltings, former professor at EPFL, for a captivating keynote tracing the history of AI and exploring what this technology could mean for the future. It will be a chance to take a step back, understand its origins, and reflect on its role in our professional lives.”
Afterwards, our CEO, Stéphan Grouitch, will provide a strategic insight into Itecor, the company’s latest news, and the challenges ahead – where we’ve been, where we’re going, and how we can create meaningful impact for our clients, our teams, and our communities. This corporate moment is essential: it allows us to align our perspectives and strengthen our collective understanding of the issues we face.
Following this stimulating session, we will enjoy an evening steeped in Swissness. Authentic, warm, and convivial, it will reflect our roots and values. It will be a time to simply share a meal, talk, and laugh together.
The next day, we will spend a relaxing day in the Swiss Alps, discovering the Pays-d’Enhaut and the alpine pastures of L’Étivaz. Between breathtaking landscapes and moments of genuine connection, these experiences help us forge bonds that extend far beyond the event itself.
